Seaweeds and miscellaneous

There are many different types of seaweed in many different shapes, sizes and flavours. We offer a wide diversity of seaweeds.

French seaweed
The seaweeds we import from Bretagne have a unique flavor. They are fresh salted and, consequently, will keep for a long time. We offer six different types of seaweeds from Bretagne:

  • – Sea lettuce
  • – Dulse
  • – Wakame
  • – Sea spaghetti (also known as thongweed or buttonweed)
  • – Nori
  • – Sugar kelp (Kombu Royal)

Dutch seaweed (“Zeeuwse”)
We also offer wild seaweed from Zeeland. From the Oosterschelde (Eastern Scheldt) and the Veerse Meer (lake Veere) to be precise. These seaweeds are fresher than the ones from France. However, this also means that they are more perishable. We offer nine different types of seaweeds from the Zeelandic lakes:

  • – Red seaweed (Agardhiella subulata)
  • – Chaeto (Chaetomorpha)
  • – Japanese wireweed (Sargassum muticum)
  • – Spiral wrack (Fucus spiralis)
  • – Codium
  • – Wakame
  • – Sea lettuce
  • – Rockweed (also known as Norwegian kelp or Knotted kelp)
  • – Bladder wrack (Fucus vesiculosus L.)

Philippine seaweed
We also have an exotic variety from the Philippines. The green seagrape. We deliver this weed sin brine. After you rinse the weed with water it swells and forms long strands with crisp, salty berries.
